it's a hard knock life, for us

Yes, I just took a picture of myself with Donettes.  These things will be the death of me! (or just the sole reason why I become obese)
My mother-in-law loves to shower us with food when we come visit. ;)
Do I love the snacks? Yes. Do I have any self control while in my pantry? None whatsoever.
I just wanted to eat 2 and now I have no idea how many I ate. I lost count after 4.

Anywho, I haven't blogged in a while, I guess because nothing crazy new has been going on around these parts.  I've still been working lots and doing design projects on the side.  Clay's living it up during summer break.  I am jealous, but it is nice to have the house clean, dishes done, and the grocery shopping done when I get home from work!  boy do i love that guy.
He still works @ night though which is a bummer.

We took a little trip up to Queen Creek this past weekend to see Clay's Faja and get his AC fixed... YES more car problems.  It's basically never ending with us, but my parents say I was born into it, as they have had car problems since day 1 of their marriage. (On the way to a cabin on their wedding night their truck broke down resulting in them hitch hiking in the middle of the night, where they finally got a ride back into town by some pot heads).  I guess that's where it all began. & They have many other great stories to add throughout their marriage. Thanks ma & pa!  We are really paying for it now... lots of $$ later we got it fixed.  We are very grateful to Clay's parents who drove us around all weekend and helped us out so much!

Throughout not even 18 months of marriage we have experienced:

-dead battery/corroded cables on our honeymoon = Stranded in a parking garage for hours until triple A came,  and soon stuck at a WalMart parking lot trying to fix everything in the cold until 1am... with no dinner.

-Flat tire after flat tire... after flat tire.  Please show me where all of the broken glass and nails are in the world so I can run it over.

-LOTS of break squeekage and new break pads

-burned up belts last summer resulting in new compressor/ completely re-doing AC

-While driving to work I had the starter freak out, smoke, make a super scary high pitch noise, and you guessed it... dead car

-Stolen truck :(

-Shattered back window complete with stolen ipod.

-In March we thought my car just needed a freon charge. WRONG. All of the freon leaked out after one day. Thanks for figuring that one out DAD! We got a new condenser for the AC.

- And now, Clay's AC went out again.  After paying a zillion dollars to have it fixed we thought everything was dandy... then all of the power steering fluid leaked everywhere. . . Back to the mechanic!

. . . a dark curse has been placed on us. . .

Wendy, what a cute home you have! I want one of your family trees--that may be what I get everyone for Christmas this year! I will check out your Etsy shop.

You and Clay are so darling!
