Love & Bees

Last week Clay & I went to my Aunt + Uncle's house to pick up my Grandpa's old dresser. I loved it but decided to spruce it up a bit since it had somehow survived from a liiiiitle wear and tear through the years

Clay's mom gave us this awesome pillow that is famous at Target

so we changed that old thang to this:

Making the transformation was a lot more work than planned. It turns out we have a bee problem at our apartment complex. . . so it's not so fun trying to sand & paint a dresser with a swarm of angry bees trying to KILL you!! Clay killed 17 bees that day and ended up sanding the entire dresser while I went on "bee patrol;" looking for incoming bees from the window. When I would yell, "BEE BEE BEE" he would either run inside or kill them with a dust pan (depending on how many flew around our porch at the same time). After a good 2 hours of running from the bees, we weren't in the best of moods. I kept telling Clay that flipping off the bees from inside wouldn't make them go away, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do when he's angry. We also came to the conclusion that we would rather live a lifetime without honey than have bees in this world.

In the end, we had to buy more tarps to paint inside while protecting ourselves from satan's insects. We now call it "the bee dresser", and coincidentally it is the color of a bee.

For Valentines Day we didn't have any plans (probably because we're so broke it's not even funny).. SO I saw an add on Craigslist from a flower shop that needed extra people to deliver flowers on Valentines Day.

Thanks to Clay's mom we got to drive around town in her big truck delivering flowers! It was pretty fun. . some people were very happy and other's seemed annoyed with me. . . but it was worth it and we got a little extra cash!
