1 year

Yesterday was our first anniversary.  We had a fun night together.  We started by exchanging little gifts and letters.  Clay and I have always written each other letters, even while we were dating in high school. I have a box filled with notes and letters we used to write each other, and then of course I have  letters from his mission. Occasionally we write each other random letters thoughout the year, but always on special occasions.  I put my letter in a card that I made, the front had one of my tree designs where the rings on the tree represent years of marriage...So I added one little ring to our tree. Clay got me flowers and chocolates and I told him I wanted to get a gift for both of us, so we will be going to get a couples massage sometime soon. :) When he opened the gift card he kept saying, "thank you for giving me the gift of relaxation!" haha. 
We went out to eat at RA Sushi, and then snuggled up to a movie, popcorn, and candy at home.  It may not seem like an extravagant night, but we wanted to keep it simple and remember our life in our first little apartment.  We'll be moving next week so we're trying to make all of the memories we can before we leave. 
This year was filled with so much fun.  We've learned so much about each other and just about life in general. As we get ready to move, I am excited for what is ahead, but sad to say goodbye to year 1.  Happy Anniversary Clay! One down, infinity to go.
